Maryland Electrical License Renewal
To maintain your electrical license in Maryland, it's essential to adhere to the state's renewal requirements, which vary based on your license type:License Renewal Period:
- All electrical licenses in Maryland are valid for two years from the date of issuance. Maryland Department of Labor
- Master Electricians:
- Complete 10 hours of continuing education (CE) during each two-year license period.
- At least 5 hours must be obtained through in-person classroom instruction.
- Journeyperson Electricians:
- Complete 5 hours of CE during each two-year license period.
- All 5 hours may be completed online.
- Complete Continuing Education: Ensure you finish the required CE hours within the current license period.
