Delaware Electrical License Renewal
License Renewal Period:
- All electrician licenses expire on June 30 of even-numbered years (e.g., 2024, 2026).
- Master, Master Special, Limited, and Limited Special Electricians:
- Complete 10 hours of approved continuing education (CE) during each renewal period.
- Beginning with the second renewal, 5 of the 10 CE hours must be related to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Journeypersons, Residential, and Apprentice Electricians:
- Complete 5 hours of approved CE during each renewal period.
- Apprentice training (proof of enrollment in a Board-approved apprenticeship program) will count toward CE hours during the licensure period it was completed.
- Complete Continuing Education: Finish the required CE hours within the current renewal period.
- Submit Renewal Application: Renew your license online through the Delaware Professional Regulation Online Service (DELPROS) portal.
- Pay Renewal Fee: Include the necessary renewal fee with your application.
- Maintain Records: Keep certificates of completion for all CE courses, as a percentage of licensees are randomly selected for audit of CE after renewal.
