Alabama Electrical License Renewal
For Electrical Contractors:
- Continuing Education: Complete 14 hours of continuing education every two years, with at least 7 hours focused on the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Renewal Fee: Pay a renewal fee of $150.
- Continuing Education: Currently, there is no continuing education requirement for journeyman electricians in Alabama.
- Renewal Fee: Pay a renewal fee of $35.
- Complete Continuing Education (if applicable): Ensure you finish the required continuing education hours before your license expiration date.
- Submit Renewal Application: Fill out the appropriate renewal form, which can be found on the Alabama Electrical Contractors Board’s website.
- Pay Renewal Fee: Include the correct renewal fee with your application. Payments should be made via money order or cashier’s check, as personal or company checks are not accepted.
- Mail Application and Fee: Send your completed application and payment to the Alabama Electrical Contractors Board at the address provided on their website.
