For the most part working with EMT is common sense. However, I’ve found there are some things you can do to become more efficient at working with it on your jobs.
1) Work in a neat and workmanlike manner
2) Use a level
3) Don’t run hard conduit to equipment that vibrates, shakes, or moves
4) If you mess it up, re-bend it
5) Bring more conduit than you need
6) Bring more strapping options
7) Line up your couplings
8) Use more junction boxes rather than copious amounts of bends
